First the laverda factory mount in the 1000 Jota frame the 120° engine,
Then from 1982 to 1983 came the 1000 RGA,
The 1000 RGS (red) since 1983.
The design was made by RG Studio de Franco Marlenotti. (like the Morini Turbo).
Then came the 1000 RGS Exécutive with bags and fairing expanders.
(a few produced models).
The 1000 RGS Corsa was produced from 1984 to 1986,
And finally the 1000 SFC since 1985 until the end of the production in 1989.( It's the Corsa's engine, a specific cosmetics and cycle part, 300mm brake discs, Marzocchi fork M1R and a less weight).
The Laverda 1000 RGS Corsa is an improved version of the 1000 RGS, spécific cylinder head with larger valves, camshafts, hight compression pistons & braking Brembo gold séries, PO8 caliper, it was the first stock motorbike delivered with this racing brakes and in all black color. It has a new gear box up to the "Japanese standard".
maximum torque 7,98m.kg à 7000 rpm, speed max 220 km/h.
double front brakes discs Brembo P.O. 8 calipers Gold séries, rear 1 disc idem front.
Marzocchi Hydraulic fork (diameter 38 mm), Marzocchi shocks absorber at the rear, (Koni in France).
The main différence is from the crankshaft, at 180°on the older 1000, at 120° on RGS séries. This chock authorizes higher full speed engine, (to the detriment of the feelings will say the 180° crankshaft "aficionados", however this engine is not wishy-washy !).
