It seems that we can order any Laverda zané spare parts (650,668,750) at 3C motos , Piaggo have sold the spare parts stock to 3C motos.

To becomes a pleasure and not a break-in head of every moment, some tunings are necessary on this motorbike. 

  • Firstly : oil lubrication or at least oil pressure.It's highly recommanded to change paper oil filter by a less restrictive oil filter type Alto performance  or Venividivroom .

  • on my 750 S I have this open filter (from Ital Racer de R. Gallici)

                            

  • You can add a 8 mm metal part on the pressure relief valve located on the filter cartridge . These modifications are to increase the oil pressure on the crankshaft bearings and other.

                                         

  • Segundo : électricity, we can distinguish ignition, starter and battery.
  • Power supply: the original battery (Unibat) is a poor quality, you shouldn't hesitate to replace it by Hawker Odyssey (BMW retailers for example). The electrical loom is under dimensioned, you can put a switch to cut the 2nd main beam headlamp too.
  • Battery charge: If you have a DUCATI rectifier,

      it should be replaced by a NISSHO IWAI Réf. SH673-12 

    or an électrex réf. RR51, and there is a bad cooling of the rectifier also.

  • Don't forget to remove the 2 yellow plugs from alternator to rectifier. ( they burn).

                                                              

  • Ignition: change the bad quality Champion spark plug caps and hight tension lead by Magnécors (for example in blue on the picture).

                                 

  •  Change the Champion spark plugs by NGK Platinium (DCPR9EVX) or nippon denso Irridium (IXU 24). The side stand security ignition cut(n°14).

                                                 

 

  1. The starter is under dimensioned,

  • Sit on bike, Put up side stand, Turn off headlights completely, Pull clutch in, Put bike in first gear, Roll bike backwards to break the clutch free, Put the bike in neutral, Tap start button (do not hold it on).
  • Cooling: It's necessary to maintain the liquid level at mini, under penalty of overpressure risk.( take a good liquid cooling quality, honda for example).
  • Lubrication : the factory recommends Agip 20w/50, You can employ a great number of hight quality synthetic oils especially planned for motorbikes. Don't forget to drain the oil every 4000 km maxi
  • 6th gear : There is a brittleness of this gear when manufactured. There is no improvment at this time !  

                   

  • Crankshaft : There is a brittleness of the crankshaft type 1 on the ignition sensor side, with a risk of breakage of the end at high engine speed.The solution is to replace it by a type 3, very expansive solution. Crankshaft type 3 starting from engine n°1471 on 750 Formula and n°2214 on Strike and 750S.
